comScore, Inc. released the results of a study examining recent changes in consumer attitudes and perceptions about the state of the U.S. economy. The study showed that consumers in all income segments are cutting back on spending due to concerns about the economy, and that they were doing so to an even greater extent in July 2008 than in April 2008.

€200-250 billion that should reach national budgets is thought to be lost to fiscal fraud. VAT fraud alone accounts for some €40 billion a year – ten per cent of the total receipts. According to the Association for Financial Professionals' 2008 Women in Finance Survey, nearly 60 percent of financial professionals believe that the U.S. economy will continue to slow at least into the fourth quarter of 2008, while a third believe economic conditions should begin to stabilize and/or improve over the next 90 days. Ten percent of financial professionals believe the worst of the current economic downturn has passed.

Increasingly, they will be able to keep in touch via mobile versions of their favorite social networks, running on their cellular phones. ABI Research forecasts that in 2013, more than 140 million subscribers will share “anytime, anywhere” experiences this way, and they will generate subscription revenues in excess of $410 million.
